Kitchen lighting

For many families, the kitchen is the heart of their house. A place for cooking, baking but also a meeting place and often the favorite location for parties. You should especially make sure that no annoying shadows fall on the work area while you are busy at the stove, the sink or the kitchen counter. They appear for instance when only one ceiling light illuminates the room from the center of the ceiling, so that you are causing shadows yourself. Thus, it is better to place the light decentralized, near the walls or windows, so that the light shines shadow-free from above or from the side.
Tip: As a separate light zone, the dining area should be specially illuminated. The distance between the table and a pendant light should be 60 cm at least in order to allow a free view. Here, it should be your aim to illuminate the table surface brightly and to let people appear in a pleasant scattered light.
