Bathroom Lighting

The bathroom is given different tasks, on the one side there are awakened the spirits for the daily tasks in the morning and on the other side in the evening hours, it is a place to relax for a nice bath, for example. To have enough light for shaving or other body care, it should be noted especially in the bathroom the color of the flagging and the wall. Dark surfaces absorb the light, which makes a much more intense light necessary. Suitable for ambient lighting are recessed spotlights and ceiling lights made of white opal glass. To achieve a uniform and shadow-free lighting at the mirror are elongated rod-shaped lights at left and right of the mirror the best solution. To achieve a totally shadow-free face for shaving or make-up and especially with larger mirrors is recommended additional lighting from above. If, however, you are only working with light from above, unwanted shadows are caused by the chin and nose. To enhance the feel-good character in the bathroom, should be visualized with light in the different areas of your bathroom, which makes the room also more alive. Tip: Small Bathrooms are visually bigger through indirect lighting that is reflected by brightly painted walls and ceilings. Even with additional wall sconces, for example in niches, you can generate a more generous feeling of space.
