Flos
The company Flos was founded in 1962 in Merano (Italy) with the basic goal to produce modern lights. Therefore Achille, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Tobia Scarpa were asked to cooperate with the company to create new lighting ideas. In 1964 with the addition of Sergio Gandini to the company headquarters were deflected to the Italian city Brescia. Because of this long history and undisputed talent and know-how of the company Flos numerous design classics and icons were born. Examples for this are Arco and Taraxacum of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, the chandelier 2097 by Gino Sarfatti, the suspension lamp Skygarden and Zeppelin by Marcel Wanders, the series Romeo and the series Ktribe by Philippe Starck as well as Parentesi by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù.

The Skygarden hanging lamp is part of the Flos lighting collection and was designed by Marcel Wanders. This light combines classic and modern style in a fantastic, unique way to this beatuful lighting fixture. The dome is a mechanically worked cast plaster lampshade with white lacquered interior surface and the outer surface in different colors. Its inner lampshade, which hides the bulb consists of dual, mouth blown opal glass and is also beautiful decorated. This lighting fixture reminds pretty much of Stucco.
